Job Description

Serves as College Board Administrative Assistant. Serves as the recorder for the College Board Meetings and special functions as needed. Facilitates communication between the College Board, the college, and the community. Coordinates special events and travel accommodations for the Board as needed. Ensures that the Board is updated on events and relevant matters of the College. Serves as the recorder of minutes for the President’s Cabinet Meetings and special functions as needed. Works closely with the Special Events Coordinator on all functions related to the President and to the College Board. Maintains the SharePoint webpages for the Office of the President and for the College Board. Works closely with the Executive Assistant to the President and provides support as needed to ensure continuity of office operations.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience in working at the higher education level. Degree or significant experience required. Demonstrated experience exercising sound judgment and complex discretion in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive matters. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to summarize information in clear written form appropriate for an intended audience. Strong computer skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, effectively, and efficiently. Ability to pay close attention to detail. Ability to make independent decisions based on knowledge of college policies, procedures, and practices. Excellent organizational skills. Organize and maintain office files for the ready use by the president. Ability to work effectively with a diverse population. Experience in providing solution-focused, customer-friendly service to executive level clients and colleagues. Knowledge of proper office ethics and telephone protocol. Must be able to display a high level of professionalism in personal presentation. Must be able to work at all campus locations. Preferred Qualifications

Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Special Requirements

Hours of duty: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, including evenings and weekends as needed.
