Job Description

As a member of the workforce development services team, the RSVP Program Coordinator works with program partners and staff to successfully implement the Road to Success in Virginia Program (RSVP). RSVP seeks to prepare Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) recipients for employment leading to self-sufficiency and independence from temporary benefits.

The program will serve as an entry point into career pathways for low-skilled TANF recipients and provide an opportunity for core WIOA partners to collaborate to enhance career pathways that support sector strategies. The program design will incorporate in-demand (and industry recognized) credential based training, work readiness development, and wrap around coaching to assist TANF recipients in obtaining self-sufficient employment.

Job Description
The program coordinator will run the day-to-day operation of RSVP, coordinate referrals of identified participants including connecting current TANF recipients to the RSVP program, ensure consistent program services for all program participants, work with the local program management team to identify best practices, and ensure all reporting requirements are met in a timely manner.

The program coordinator will attend all monthly conference calls, statewide training, and other meetings facilitated by the Virginia Community College System Project Manager.
