| Job Description | Serves as a lead worker in a unit of trainee disability analysts by assisting the unit supervisor, providing programmatic guidance of casework assistance to trainees who are learning to process claims according to Social Security regulations, performing special tasks assigned by the unit supervisor and maintaining a caseload. Consults with individual unit members regarding casework and advises appropriate actions to be taken on the claims in accordance with applicable policies. Provides direction and training to unit staff. Accurately adjudicates assigned caseload of disability claims filed under Title II, Title XVI, and Title XIX of the Social Security Act, as amended. May represent the Agency as a participant in Medicaid Appeal Hearings. |

| Special Requirements | In accordance with Executive Directive #18, the Commonwealth of Virginia requires all Executive Branch employees, including new hires to disclose their vaccination status upon hire.
