Job Description

Rappahannock Community College, a two-campus institution serving a rural 12-county area in the Chesapeake Bay region of Virginia, seeks qualified part-time instructors to teach the following non-credit workforce development courses for various companies in the service region. These courses will be taught day and/or evening throughout each semester; depending on the company preferences.

Minimum Qualifications

Basic Computer Technology
Extensive teaching experience in Information Technology with minimum of 2 years related occupational experience.

Electrical/Electronic Technology
Extensive teaching experience in Electricity/Electronics with minimum of 2 years related occupational experience.

Introduction to Robotics
Extensive teaching experience in Robotics Technology or related field with a minimum of 2 years related occupational experience.

Electrical Control Systems
Extensive teaching experience in Electrical Technology or related field with a minimum of 2 years related occupational experience.

Programmable Controllers
Extensive teaching experience in Electrical Technology or related field with a minimum of 2 years related occupational experience.

Blueprint Reading
Extensive teaching experience in Drafting or related field with a minimum of 2 years related occupational experience in blueprint reading.

Project Management
Extensive teaching experience in Project Management or related field with a minimum of 2 years related occupational experience in Project Management.

Fiber Optic/Data Cabling
Extensive teaching experience in Fiber Technology or related field with a minimum of 2 years related occupational experience in Fiber Technology.

Fluid Power-Pneumatic Systems
Extensive teaching experience in Fluid Power or related field required with a minimum of 2 years appropriate occupational experience.

Welding
Extensive teaching experience in Welding or related field with a minimum of 2 years related occupational experience in Welding.

Soft Skill Development
Extensive teaching experience in Career Development or related field with a minimum of 2 years related occupational experience in Soft Skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

This is a part-time position with no benefits. Satisfactory reference and criminal background checks are a condition of employment.
