Job Description

Seeking adjunct faculty to teach business and management courses for Workforce Development in a variety of formats to include traditional, hybrid, and online classes. Candidates should be familiar in the following Logistic Organization Structural, Material/product movement from port to consumer (supply chain), Distribution Center organization and management, Distribution Center equipment and machinery, Distribution Center technology operations (bar codes and scanning) and time management and teamwork concept. Candidates must be willing to teach classes anytime and at any locations that classes are offered by the college. Classes may be offered during the days, evenings, and weekends. The college offers classes in Franklin, Suffolk, and Smithfield. In general the instructor needs to be qualified to provide instruction material/books. Through the instructional use of this material prepare students for careers in transportation and warehousing through the study of the principles of organization and management in logistics.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in related field. Minimum of two years’ work experience and/or equivalent training in field.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree is preferred. In addition online teaching experience is desired.
