Job Description

Rappahannock Community College, a two-campus institution serving a rural 12-county area in the Chesapeake Bay region of Virginia, seeks applicants for EMS Adjunct Instructors for all certification levels. Instructors will need to be able to lead students in a variety of venues, including classroom, and laboratory, as well as asynchronous and synchronous online classrooms.

Minimum Qualifications

Associates Degree, Virginia and/or National Registry Intermediate or Paramedic certification, minimum three years’ experience as an ALS provider in a high call volume agency or equivalent experience in other agencies. At least the equivalent of one year full-time teaching experience in an approved EMS program.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree, VEMSES and/or NEMSES instructor, and Instructor in certification courses such as ACLS, ITLS, PHTLS, PEPP, PALS, NALS with experience teaching in those programs. Teaching experience at the community college level preferred.

Satisfactory reference and criminal background checks are a condition of employment.
