Germanna Community College is seeking a part time customer service professional to work in the Admissions and Records Office at the Fredericksburg area campus in Spotsylvania, VA. This position is in a very fast paced and challenging environment supporting GCC and VCCS polices and processing documentation. The successful candidate will provide excellent customer service, answer in-person and phone inquiries from the public regarding programs and services offered by the college, and assist prospective, new, and continuing students to access student and academic support services. The position is primarily at the Fredericksburg area campus in Spotsylvania but may also need to provide support to other GCC locations as needed.
Associate’s degree or specific related experience. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (both oral and written). Excellent customer service and problem solving skills. The ability to multi-task in a very high paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Bachelor’s degree. Experience working in College Admissions. Experience working in a Community College.
Employment will be contingent upon an acceptable background investigation and reference check.
