Job Description

This position is located at the Powhatan Print shop in Powhatan, Va.

The Production Foreman provides supervision of high quality print manufacturing and leadership to both staff and our offender workforce. Ensures quality products, customer loyalty, and accurate and complete orders are delivered on time. Communicates expectations and objectives to offenders. Supervises production, shipping, receiving, or other processes to meet customers needs. Tracks inventory to ensure materials to schedule job production are available. Demonstrates effective methods for managing lot tracking, safety stock, and item codes. Verifies cycle counts, reports inventory variances and runs inventory specific reports in Syteline. Observes work processes for potential quality improvements, and takes action where applicable. Participates in quality training. Ensures staff receives frequent, constructive feedback, and they have the necessary tools to accomplish goals. Proactively demonstrates and reiterates to staff the importance of compliance with OSHA, EPA, or other safety laws to prevent violations of safe work practices.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license. Considerable experience in all aspects of print manufacturing. Considerable experience in MS Word Applications and Pre-Press software (Adobe Creative Suite and EnFocus pit stop). Some prior lead or supervisory experience. Considerable experience in commercial offset manufacturing pre-press. Ablity to continuously improve practices and concepts, and perform effectively under tight deadlines. Knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.

Preferred Qualifications

Associates degree or other technical certification.

Special Requirements
