Job Description

Provides clerical and administrative support to the Chief Probation & Parole Officer and district office staff. Performs a variety of clerical and support functions involving the administration of complex clerical and support activities and operations involving the exercise of independent judgment in the coordination and performance of diverse assignments requiring the application of specialized knowledge of program policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Serves as Office Manager overseeing all clerical activities and ensuring information reaches the correct staff person in a timely manner. Performs fiscal, procurement, and personnel related responsibilities for the district office.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Driver’s License. Recent experience providing administrative support to include data entry, filing, etc in a professional setting. Recent experience providing customer service in a professional setting. Experience using MS Office applications. Recent experience using all office equipment in addition to computers and the use of multi-line telephones.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer post-secondary courses in office administration or training or experience in a related field. Prefer experience with case-management database or an automated database other than MS Office. Prefer administrative experience in a criminal justice, court, or law office setting. Prefer knowledge of state procurement guidelines and eVA.

Special Requirements
