Job Description

Manages assigned staff to support the operation of an adult Community Corrections Unit to ensure implementation of Departmental and Divisional Policies and Procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Valid driver’s license. Working knowledge of criminal justice systems and correctional planning, budgeting, analysis, supervision and administration. Demonstrated progressively responsible administrative skills. Demonstrated skill and/or experience supervising employees. Working knowledge of pertinent federal, state, and local laws and ordinances. Working knowledge of Community Corrections operational practices. Demonstrated ability to speak and write effectively. Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals and public officials.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer graduation from an accredited college or university with course work in criminal justice, a behavioral science, a related field, or equivalent applicable experience or training. Prefer some experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation of various social services as related to clientele in a state judicial system. Prefer working experience with Evidence Based Practices. Prefer working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
