The Virginia Lottery is currently seeking a fun, energetic, Marketing Project Manager to join our Advertising and Gaming Department.

This position is responsible for Advertising and Gaming Project Management for multiple engagement and retail programs. The individual in this role will deliver full life-cycle project management for high impact, complex marketing initiatives requiring considerable collaboration among internal and external stakeholders. The Marketing Project Manager develops and manages processes to ensure efficient, seamless integration and collaboration. Working with multiple marketing agency partners and in-house creative resources, this individual manages projects to successful completion by creating and managing schedules for all deliverables and leading implementation. This role ensures that all marketing campaign deliverables from our multiple agency partners are cohesive, brand compliant and aligned. The Project Manager will also work with other marketing stakeholders to manage continuity and accuracy for all marketing assets. This position will ensure Marketing Initiative Checklists are maintained and delivered on time for assigned projects. As needed, will be responsible for project management for in-house creative assignments involving the creation of timelines, schedules and ensure deadlines are met. In addition, this position is responsible for copywriting, editing and proofreading a variety of publications and marketing assets.

The Marketing Project Manager collaborates with Marketing Leadership, Product Managers, Creative, the Lottery’s PMO, Marketing vendor partners, and many other members of the Marketing team and Lottery staff. Strong organization and communications skills are critical to this role.

Minimum Qualifications

The person selected for this position will have:
– Knowledge in the principles, practices and theory of marketing, advertising and project management, consumer engagement, external communications and the policies and procedures governing their application
– Ability to manage timelines, deadlines and deliverables
– Very strong organization skills
– Ability to effectively supervise vendor partners in a collaborative and agile environment
– Ability to manage and implement retail programs
– Ability to manage and execute multiple programs with significant flexibility
– Ability to manage complex programs requiring the involvement of groups inside and outside the Lottery
– Strong communications skills

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include:
– Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business or related field is preferred.
– A minimum of 5 years of experience in the field of marketing/advertising/project management including experience with consumer engagement and branding.
– Highly effective communications and organization skills required.

The preferred candidate will have proven ability to effectively:
– Project manage cohesive campaigns and initiatives
– Communicate with and help manage Marketing vendor partners
– Work within tight timelines
– Manage multiple projects without missing deadlines
– Produce advertising and engagement materials with 100% accuracy
– Collaborate with teams
– Motivate and ensure others meet deadlines and deliverables

Special Requirements

The selected candidate will be required to pass a background investigation, and possess a valid Driver’s License. Minimum travel required.
