Behavioral Health Clinicians

The Staff Development Department at Catawba Hospital has an opportunity for a well-qualified individual to join our small, high performing and collaborative team.

Hours: Primarily weekdays with flexibility to meet education needs.

The right individual will demonstrate proven abilities and knowledge in the following areas:
Adult/geriatric psychiatric disorders and treatment
Ability to work with people in a range of roles and experience
Successful work organization and time management
Flexibility in managing responsibilities of the department
Initiative in meeting department goals
Verbal and written communication

Duties include (but are not limited to):
Coordinate and teach in Orientation
Utilize learning and audio-visual technology
Develop and update class and other education materials
Teach BLS and Behavior Management courses
Manage class related materials and information
Participate in hospital performance improvement activities

Minimum Qualifications

The following qualifications are required:

Recent employment experience in an adult clinical behavioral health setting (inpatient preferred).
A Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field or nursing.
A qualified associate degree RN will be considered.
Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Suite competency
Validated history of excellent work attendance and reliability
Able to meet the cognitive and physical requirements of position

Preferred Qualifications

A Master’s degree in a behavioral health field is strongly preferred.

Some beginning level experience supervising the work of others is desirable.
