Job Description

Piedmont Virginia Community College (PVCC) is a public, comprehensive community college. As part of the 23 college Virginia Community College System, PVCC serves the city of Charlottesville and the six adjacent counties. PVCC is nationally recognized for its outstanding transfer curriculum; its relationship with its neighbor, the University of Virginia; and its Workforce Development Programs serving local employers.
The Adjunct employee must use PVCC approved curriculum to prepare healthcare students to successfully complete the training program and state/national certification exam. Position includes teaching on-campus and clinical site instruction under the supervision of Healthcare Program Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities: Provide instruction, supervision and support to health career students in the classroom, lab and in clinical settings.

Minimum Qualifications

Currently Licensed in the State of Virginia without restrictions with minimum of 2 years of recent experience in area of Instruction. State/National Certification in area of practice.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous teaching experience. Train the trainer certification in area of instruction.

Special Requirements

Must complete and pass criminal background check and drug screen and provide evidence of a negative TB test performed within 6 months of hire. Must be willing to attend any necessary job related training or orientation as required.
