Job Description

Germanna Community College is seeking a skilled computer technician to support the activities of faculty, staff and students at the Daniel Technology Center in Culpeper and Locust Grove Campus in Locust Grove. This position will perform hardware/software installations, upgrades, maintenance and operational support for all computer equipment and their peripherals. The position will also respond to daily helpdesk calls/tickets as well as perform support for AV/Video Teleconferencing and other systems. This position may require at least one night support on a rotation basis each week and/or occasional weekend support.
Salary: Salary range for this position is $33,598 – 36,957 plus State Benefits (State policy pay practices apply for current employees)

Minimum Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent related experience required.
• Skills in troubleshooting and repair for computers and their peripherals.
• Knowledge of Windows 7 / 8 / 10 operating systems and Cat 5/6 cabling.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications

• A+ and/or Network+ certification
• Associates Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
• Knowledge or Audio Visual / Video Teleconferencing equipment
