Patrick Henry Community College (PHCC) is a comprehensive two-year college of the Virginia Community College System, serving the City of Martinsville and the counties of Henry and Patrick. PHCC serves approximately 3,500 credit and almost 2,700 non-credit students annually and, consistently ranks among the top ten “Most Tech-Savvy” community colleges in the country by the Center for Digital Education. Position Summary:
Patrick Henry Community College is always looking for qualified adjunct faculty to enhance its academic programs. We are seeking qualified adjunct faculty members to teach Clinical nursing courses for the spring semester of 2018. The college is primarily seeking individuals who are available to teach daytime classes. Adjunct faculty positions are appointed on a course-by-course basis each semester as needed. Adjunct faculty are expected to maintain currency in their teaching disciplines and in regards to trends in community college education.

Compensation: Commensurate with education and experience.

Master’s Degree in Nursing (MSN); currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Virginia or hold multistate licensure privilege without any disciplinary action that currently restricts practice; must have two years of direct care experience in Medical Surgical, Geriatric, Pediatric or Mental Health Nursing. Current CPR American Heart Association BLS certification. Candidates must be familiar with utilizing computer and other technologies for instruction. Excellent written and oral communication skills.

One year of pre-licensure teaching experience preferred.
