Job Description

Position reports to the Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness. Will assist the Director in the support of the institutional effectiveness and assessment activities of BRCC. Will conduct and coordinate qualitative and quantitative professional research and statistical studies in support of student learning in relationship to the College’s plan for Institutional Effectiveness.

Will coordinate survey collection and analysis of students and employees, including annual graduation assessment, internal surveys of students and employees, and external surveys such as CCSSE; Gather data from existing sources such as SIS and use that to provide information to internal and external constituents (e.g., Fast Facts, web page); Support the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC) liaison and workgroup in the timely, adequate, and appropriate tracking and submission of required assessment and compliance materials; Assist in preparing reports to SACSCOC as well as internal, state, regional and federal agencies; Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive data at all times; Manage multiple databases (SIS, WEAVEonline) and utilize that data to respond to research requests; and participate as part of the QEP committee and in other situations where assessment expertise is required.

Provide training and guidance for faculty and administrators in the assessment and use of WEAVEonline. Collect, analyze, review and submit required reporting which may include narratives, charts and graphics, to organizational, regulatory and private educational organizations.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in social science or related field required. Requires experience in data collection and analysis and experience in reporting both verbally and in writing. Candidate must have excellent analytic and organizational skills, strong communication skills and be an effective and efficient writer. Candidate must be able to work collaboratively with others.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s Degree preferred, with coursework in assessment, education, research or planning.
Experience with survey development, WEAVEonline, Qualtrics, SACSCOC, PeopleSoft SIS, Excel, Access and SPSS or SAS preferred.
