Job Description

Behavioral Health Clinicians

Are you experienced in providing behavioral health clinical services?

The Staff Development Department at Catawba Hospital is a small, high performing and collaborative team serving the learning needs of all employees. We want right individual to join our team. Is that you?

Hours: Primarily weekdays with flexibility to meet education needs

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Coordinate schedule and teach in orientation program for all employees
• Utilize learning and audio-visual technology
• Develop and update class and other education material
• Teach BLS and Behavior Management courses
• Manage class related materials and information
• Participate in hospital performance improvement activities

The right individual will demonstrate proven abilities, skills and knowledge in the following areas:

• Ability to work with people in a range of job roles and experience
• Flexibility in managing responsibilities of the role
• Successful time and work load management
• Initiative in meeting department goals
• Verbal and written communication

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications for the successful candidate include:

REQUIRED: Recent employment experience in an adult/geriatric clinical behavioral health setting (inpatient preferred)
• At least a Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral health field and/or
• An Associate Degree RN
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Suite competency
• Validated history of excellent work attendance and reliability
• Able to meet the cognitive and physical requirements of position
REQUIRED: Ability to occasionally travel overnight for meetings/seminars
