Job Description

This position will serve as an effective member of the Enrollment Service team offering an exceptional level of service to prospective, new, continuing and former students. Assist with all aspects of the enrollment process to include, but not limited to, providing enrollment guidance, assisting with admission, registration, and graduation, and processing transcripts and enrollment verification’s. Responsible for responding to student inquiries in-person, via phone, and by e-mail. Establish and maintain contact with functional departments across the College. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to handle information with strict confidentiality. Requires strict compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures in place for the Virginia Community College System (VCCS) and Thomas Nelson Community College, and well as state and federal laws.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience working with the general public. Excellent customer service and data entry skills. Proficiency with computers and software applications. Must be able to work at all campus locations. Criminal history and other background checks will be required of the finalist candidate for the position. Satisfactory reference and background checks are a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s Degree or higher in a related field. Experience in higher education setting. Experience with Student Information Systems, (SIS).

Special Requirements

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, some evening and occasional weekend hours are required.
